People have often wondered what will happen after the death of Fidel Castro. Well let’s look at the facts Fidel has been in power for over fifty years. The country constantly suffers from economic reform. Fidel is simply struggling to hold his country together. But as I was saying, would Fidel’s death change any of this?
The country is standing on very shaky ground. Several things could happen. The most likely thing to happen is that the presidency will fall into the hand of Fidel Castro’s brother Raul Castro. Or, the 30 members of the PPC (People’s Power Construct) could decide and dictate a new government or vote for a new dictator. Rivals and Cubans who left the country could come back and try to reestablish their land that was taken over 50 years ago from Fidel Castro’s reign. The most unlikely outcome that could happen is for the USA to send in peacekeepers, such as UN Representatives and try to establish a democratic government.
