How do I join or renew my membership?
You can join by calling 412.231.3169. You can also purchase a membership online.
What are the benefits of my membership?
MF Members get a year of art with free gallery admission during regular museum hours. Members also get a discount in the MF Shop, the Café, event and ticket discounts and special invitations to members-only events. At some levels, memberships also include reciprocal privileges, private tours, and more.
What are reciprocal privileges?
Members at the Family level and above receive reciprocal privileges for the North American Reciprocal Museum program, which gives access to free admission at over 700 other museums and cultural institutions around the country. At the Associate level, members receive Modern and Contemporary Reciprocal Museum benefits.
How do members hear about museum exhibitions, programs, and events?
Members receive printed invitations, posters, exhibition announcements and postcards in the mail a few times a year. Members also receive the bi-weekly email newsletter with upcoming events, programs, openings and more. The MF Calendar is also updated daily with upcoming events and happenings at the museum.
Is my membership tax deductible?
Yes! All memberships are tax-deductible, to a certain amount. When you receive your confirmation letter, it will list the tax deduction amount. Please save the letter for your records.

Where can I park when I visit?
The museum has limited parking at 505 Jacksonia Street. You can also find street parking within walking distance of the museum.
Can I bring guests to the MF?
Some membership levels receive Admit-One guest passes. These can be used for anyone to attend the museum during normal gallery hours.
Can family members or friends use my membership card?
No; each member gets a personalized membership card that is just for you.
What should I do if I lose my membership card?
Give us a call at 412.231.3169 or send us an email! We will send you a new one.
When will I receive my new membership cards?
You should receive your new membership cards about a week after your renewal.
May I designate a secondary membership cardholder?
Memberships at the Family level and above include gallery admission for two adults. In this case, you can designate the name on the second card.
How do I buy someone else a gift membership?
You can purchase a gift membership over the phone, online, or in person at the museum. When buying a membership online, you will need to indicate in the gift section that it is a gift membership. A staff member from the Membership department will call to confirm information and packaging needs.
How do I organize a matching gift?
If you make a 100% tax-deductible donation, check with your employer to see if they will match your gift. In many cases, employers provide a form for you to fill out detailing the date and amount of the contribution. Contact the Museum Advancement Office by calling 412.231.3169 for further questions.
