Museum Visit Program
The Mattress Factory offers guided group visits for all ages, backgrounds, and interests, with a variety of programs to choose from. During tours, trained Museum Educators encourage visitors to creatively observe their surroundings. Educators promote open-ended discussion and reflection, making connections between art and the everyday. By engaging in this dialogue, visitors can better understand the Mattress Factory's Artist-Residency program. Group visits provide a framework for observing, thinking about, and understanding the creative process that artists undertake to create new work and develop new practices at the Mattress Factory.
Schools wishing to tailor a Mattress Factory art experience to more specifically align with their curriculum are encouraged to call the Education Department directly. Together we can design further learning opportunities.
