Roberto Diago (b. 1971 Cuba) graduated from San Alejandro National Academy of Visual Arts in 1990. His works combine painting, collage and mixed media techniques, exploring themes of his identity as a contemporary Cuban, and as a man of African ancestry. He has received numerous national and international prizes and awards. In recent years, he has been regularly featured in solo and group shows throughout Cuba and Latin America as well as the United States, Canada and Europe.
