The Mattress Factory welcomes educators of every discipline to a FREE evening full of art, snacks and creativity! We know that everyone may be feeling the post-holiday blues, but take a quick escape from the classroom for an action-packed event that will re-energize you for months to come. Join our masterful Education Team to discover the multitude of resources the Mattress Factory has to offer including how to bring your students to the museum for their own experience with art you can get in to.

This Educator event is tailored for Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers as we gather information about the Mattress Factory experience for young children, their families and their teachers. We will be looking for your feedback and expertise as we conduct research into this fabulous young age group!

Tour our permanent exhibition with our pro Museum Educators at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30pm. Galleries in the main building will be open until 8pm for wandering and exploring. Join us in our Installation Lab for hands-on activities and learn more about our outreach programs by experiencing our tools for learning.

The whole evening is FREE, but pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

This project is made possible by a Sparks! Ignition Grant from the Institute for Museum and Library Services, a federal agency.

Mattress Factory education programs are supported by the Grable Foundation, the Allegheny Regional Assets District, the Avery Arts Foundation, the Benter Foundation, Jack Buncher Foundation, Agnes Gund, The Heinz Endowments and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
